Avery Dennison Flash Analysis and Short-Circuit Study
Mentor, Ohio

Tec completed engineering services to prepare an Arc Flash and Short Circuit Study for over ten production facilities and office buildings totaling more than 350,000 SF for the Avery Corporation in Northeast Ohio.   The various studies included fieldwork and identification of each electrical distribution system from the incoming utility service available fault current and impedance/reactance down through the distribution panels and equipment down to the various production equipment.  The utility company was contacted to obtain accurate utility information.  Arc Flash calculations were performed using computer-modeling software.  Labels were applied by our office for all major electrical equipment.

Several eight-hour training courses on the NFPA 70E were conducted by our office for each shift of production worker illustrating how to read and identify the arc flash labels and hazards.
